Asian Games 2026: Indian Cyclists Crash Out of Sprint
Indian cyclists Ronaldo Singh and David Beckham exit Asian Games sprint after 1/16 finals defeat.
IZU (JAPAN)- Indian cyclists had a disappointing day at the Asian Games 2026, as both riders in the men's sprint crashed out on Wednesday. Ronaldo Singh Laitonjam and David Beckham Elkatohchoongo cleared the first qualifying round but could not survive the 1/16 finals.
In qualifying, David clocked 9.996 to finish 14th, while Ronaldo followed with 10.052. In the 1/16 finals, Ronaldo placed second in Heat 2 behind China's Zhiwei Li, which ended his track cycling campaign at the Games.
Beckham also finished second in his heat, with Malaysia's Mohammad Azizulhasni Awang taking first place. For Team India, the India at Asian Games cycling challenge in the sprint event now ends, leaving fans waiting for a breakthrough.
