LUCKNOW-The Indian government has approved 22 landmark proposals under the Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS), involving a staggering investment of ₹41,863 crore. Major global players like Foxconn, Samsung, Tata Electronics, and Dixon are set to lead this massive manufacturing expansion.

This third tranche of approvals aims to generate over 33,700 direct jobs and produce electronics worth ₹2.58 lakh crore. By localizing critical components like PCBs and Li-ion cells, India is significantly reducing import dependence and strengthening its global supply chain.
