Authorities Bust Counterfeit Rajdhani Brand Manufacturing Units Seizing Massive Consignments In Shahjahanpur

Shimla : Authorities in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, have successfully dismantled an illegal production network manufacturing and distributing counterfeit flour and pulses packaged under the prominent "Rajdhani" trademark.

Acting on explicit directives from District Magistrate Dharmendra Pratap Singh, a joint task force led by City Magistrate Rajnikant and the Food Safety Department executed a high-stakes raid in the Jiyakhel neighborhood.

The targeted sweep centered on a manufacturing mill housing two operational entities: M/s Aarav Udyog and M/s Shri Krishna Industries, managed locally by Vikas Agarwal and Vivek Agarwal. Law enforcement seized 1,300 branded sacks containing approximately 386 quintals of counterfeit gram flour (besan) and lentils, cumulatively valued at ₹32.87 lakh.

Additionally, the team discovered a massive stockpile of 3,500 quintals of unbranded raw materials, packaging machinery, and 800 empty bags bearing the forged insignia of various premium market brands.  City Circle Officer Devvrat Vajpayee confirmed that the intervention was triggered by an official complaint filed by Bhumesh Gaur,

the authorized representative of Delhi-based Rajdhani Flour Mills Limited. Gaur informed investigators that counterfeit packages mimicking their exact corporate branding were flooding regional consumer markets, significantly damaging the firm’s equity and misleading everyday buyers.

Following the seizure, Food Safety officials extracted seven distinct product samples, forwarding them for immediate laboratory analysis. Meanwhile, the local police registered a comprehensive First Information Report (FIR) at the Chowk Kotwali police station against Anuradha Agarwal, the primary proprietor of Aarav Udyog.

The criminal charges have been filed under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) covering forgery, alongside strict clauses of the Trade Marks Act. The industrial premises have been sealed as investigators expand their probe to identify regional retail distributors connected to the illicit network.
