Effective Monitoring of Polling Arrangements for Katehri By-Election

Ambedkar Nagar:District Magistrate and Election Officer Avinash Singh chaired a meeting to ensure effective monitoring, control, and fair conduct of the 277-Katehri Assembly by-election 2024. The meeting, held at the Collectorate Auditorium, included zonal and sector magistrates tasked with overseeing smooth polling. The Katehri constituency has been divided into 20 zones and 65 sectors, each monitored by respective zonal and sector magistrates, with additional reserves for contingencies.

During the session, Avinash Singh emphasized the crucial role of zonal and sector magistrates in the election process. Instructions were given to verify all polling booths, ensuring basic amenities like drinking water, sanitation, electricity, and transport are adequately arranged. He stressed the importance of timely deployment of polling parties, material distribution, and strict adherence to Election Commission guidelines.
