Ambekar Nagar:  In a recent meeting chaired by District Magistrate Avinash Singh, the District Nutrition Committee (DNC) convened at the Collectorate auditorium, bringing together officials from various convergence departments. The meeting reviewed the compliance report from last month and updated status reports on ongoing initiatives, including the implementation of the hot cook scheme in Anganwadi centers across both rural and urban areas. The magistrate instructed officials to ensure that necessary cooking equipment and fuel cylinders are provided in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Additionally, the magistrate called for the swift completion of 54 under-construction Anganwadi centers from the 2022-2023 fiscal year and directed the Executive Engineer of the Rural Engineering Department to expedite the process. A total of 41 new Anganwadi buildings for 2023-2024 are to be developed by the Gram Panchayat implementing agency. The district plans to transform 75 Anganwadi centers into learning labs and establish effective communication among workers while ensuring proper nutritional provisions. Furthermore, the magistrate emphasized the importance of recruiting Anganwadi workers according to regulations, assuring that recruitment announcements would be made soon following a thorough review of reservations and other requirements.
