Ambedkarnagar Gears Up for By-Election with Extensive Training
Zonal and sector magistrates in Ambedkarnagar undergo comprehensive training to ensure free and fair conduct of the upcoming by-election, focusing on EVM operation and electoral procedures.
Ambedkarnagar district is all set to conduct a free, fair, and transparent by-election for the 277-Katehari constituency. To ensure the smooth execution of the electoral process, zonal and sector magistrates underwent intensive training at the Collectorate auditorium.
The training session, led by District Election Officer/District Magistrate Avinash Singh and Chief Development Officer/Nodal Officer for Electoral Personnel Anand Kumar Shukla, covered a wide range of topics, including the operation of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter-Verified Paper Audit Trails (VVPATs). Magistrates were also briefed on their specific roles and responsibilities in conducting the election.
Highlighting the significance of zonal and sector magistrates in the electoral process, the District Election Officer emphasized the need for them to adhere to the Election Commission's guidelines and ensure complete transparency. Magistrates were urged to thoroughly understand the operation of EVMs and VVPATs to effectively discharge their duties. They were also instructed to personally inspect all polling booths within their respective areas to ensure that all necessary facilities were in place.
The Chief Development Officer provided detailed insights into the intricacies of electoral duties, while master trainers conducted a step-by-step demonstration of EVM operation, addressing any queries raised by the magistrates.
