In a proactive move to enhance women's safety, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, East Lucknow, directed the Station House Officer of Gomtinagar Extension to conduct a comprehensive awareness program as part of Mission Shakti Phase-5. The initiative, spearheaded by Inspector Sudhir Kumar Awasthi, targeted students at SDSN Degree College, Chhota Bharwara.

During the program, students were provided with crucial information regarding women's safety and empowered to take necessary precautions. The police team highlighted the various emergency helplines established by the Uttar Pradesh government, including the Women Power Line 1090, Women Helpline 181, Chief Minister Helpline 1076, and the all-important emergency number 112. By familiarizing students with these resources, the police aim to foster a sense of security and encourage them to seek help whenever needed.

To further strengthen the initiative, the police team emphasized the role of the Anti-Romeo Squad and encouraged students to reach out to them or any other police personnel in case of any distress. The program concluded on a positive note, with students expressing their gratitude for the valuable information provided.
