No Stray Dog Duty for Delhi Teachers
Education Minister Ashish Sood clarifies that Delhi school teachers are not assigned stray dog management duties.
NEW DELHI- Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood has officially rejected claims regarding the deployment of school teachers for stray dog management. Addressing a press conference, Sood clarified that while schools must appoint nodal officers per Supreme Court orders, no specific field-level duties or counting tasks have been assigned to teaching staff.
The Minister accused the opposition of spreading misinformation on social media to create confusion among the academic community. He emphasized that the government remains committed to ensuring teachers focus solely on their academic responsibilities, especially during the ongoing pre-board examinations, without being diverted to non-teaching administrative work.
