Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu urges newly commissioned HAS and Allied Services probationers to prioritize transparent, people-centric public administration.
Shimla: A group of 27 newly commissioned Himachal Administrative Service (HAS) and Allied Services probationers of the 2026 batch paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu at his official residence.
The young officers are currently undergoing an intensive institutional foundation course at the Dr. Manmohan Singh Himachal Pradesh Institute of Public Administration (HIPA) in Shimla. During an engaging interaction, Chief Minister Sukhu emphasized the pivotal role that administrative officers play as the operational spine of the state.
He noted that the smooth implementation of development policies depends heavily on their ground-level dedication, urging them to serve the public with genuine missionary zeal, professional integrity, and absolute sincerity."Young administrative officers are the true future of the state and the essential custodians of public resources," Sukhu remarked.
"It is your foremost responsibility to safeguard the interests of the local citizens and ensure that the fruits of governance reach the most remote communities."The Chief Minister reiterated his government's firm commitment to providing transparent, highly responsive, and empathetic governance.
He instructed the probationers to prioritize the immediate resolution of public grievances, adopting a people-centric philosophy that actively works to dismantle unnecessary bureaucratic delays and discrimination. Sukhu further stressed that the benefits of the state's expansive social welfare schemes must be delivered to every eligible beneficiary in a strictly time-bound manner.
The high-level meeting was also attended by Chief Secretary K.K. Pant and HIPA Director Rupali Thakur, alongside other senior state bureaucrats. The senior leadership encouraged the young batch to maintain an adaptive mindset, embrace ongoing governance reforms, and work collaboratively to realize the state's long-term vision of inclusive socio-economic growth.
