Ashok Kumar Verma Appointed General Manager of Northern Railway

New Delhi: Shri Ashok Kumar Verma, a seasoned officer from the Indian Railway Stores Service, has officially taken over as the General Manager of Northern Railway. With extensive experience, including his recent role as General Manager of Central Railway Electrification Organization (CORE) in Prayagraj, Verma aims to enhance operational efficiency and safety standards across the network.

Upon assuming his new position, Verma convened a meeting with departmental heads and Divisional Railway Managers via video conference. He emphasized the importance of punctuality and safety as the core parameters of railway operations. Verma emphasized the urgent need to address employee welfare issues, ensuring senior officers are accessible for support. His leadership vision focuses on modernizing railway infrastructure while prioritizing passenger convenience and enhancing project quality.
