GM Northern Railway reviewed the work progress, focus on safety and maintenance of railway assets
General Manager, Northern Railway, Shri Shobhan Choudhury today reviewed the progress of work of Northern Railway with Principal Heads of Departments and Divisional Railway Managers.
New Delhi. General Manager, Northern Railway, Shri Shobhan Choudhury today reviewed the progress of work of Northern Railway with Principal Heads of Departments and Divisional Railway Managers of Northern Railway at Head Office Baroda House, New Delhi.
The General Manager emphasized that safety is the priority of the Railways. All efforts should be made for this and top priority should be given to track, rolling stock and signaling. He directed the officers to keep a strict vigil on the disruptions in rail traffic caused due to rains. He asked the officers to maintain smooth rail traffic without compromising on safety.
Shri Choudhury also reviewed the works done at zonal level to improve the standards of maintenance of tracks, welds and joints and removal of scrap lying near the track. He directed the divisions to expedite the works related to increasing mobility and to conduct drives to check the progress.
