New Delhi. India's High Commissioner to Saudi Arabia Dr Suhail Ajaz Khan on Monday attended the 'Saudi No Code Innovation' summit where he spoke about technology innovations in India and India-Saudi cooperation in the tech sector.

The ambassador also met the management of Indian tech firms participating in the summit organised by Tech Forge and exchanged views on enhancing cooperation and better synergy between India and the Gulf countries in the field of technology.

Before attending the summit, Khan visited Saudi's Najran region where he met local administrative officials. During this, he discussed bilateral cooperation and other issues of mutual interest. Here he discussed the strong historical ties between India and Najran, the contribution of the Indian community in the development of the region and other issues of mutual interest.

Prince Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaid, Governor of Najran region, warmly welcomed the Indian Ambassador at his office on Sunday. During the reception, friendly talks took place between the two and souvenirs were exchanged.

The Indian High Commission in Riyadh wrote on the social media platform 'X' that High Commissioner Dr. Suhail Ajaz Khan visited the Najran Chamber and met the institution's Vice President Salem Haider Al Khamsan and other businessmen. He discussed business opportunities with India, especially in the mining sector involving minerals such as granite, copper, zinc and gold.

According to the Indian High Commission, the Ambassador also visited the University of Najran and met Dr. Bandar Al-Shehri, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of the University. The Ambassador had a detailed discussion on educational opportunities for Indian students in the colleges of the university. Khan also interacted with Indian students here. During this visit to Najran, the Ambassador interacted with representatives of the Indian community and heard their experiences and issues.
