Income Tax Awareness Drive at Lucknow Public School
Income Tax Department officials conducted an awareness program at Lucknow Public School on the importance of taxes in nation building.
The session was graced by officials from the Income Tax Department, including Income Tax Officers J. P. Singh, Jitendra Verma, and Praveen Srivastava, along with Income Tax Inspector Pramod Tiwari and Office Superintendent Chetan Kumar Mishra.
J. P. Singh inaugurated the session by introducing the provisions of the Income Tax Act, 1961, and highlighting its pivotal function within India's fiscal structure. Following this, Jitendra Verma elaborated on how income tax serves as a vital source of government revenue, contributing directly to infrastructure development, welfare schemes, and national security, thereby fostering sustainable and equitable growth.
