Hindi Diwas celebrated at Hiralal Yadav Group of Colleges

Lucknow :The Hiralal Yadav Group of Colleges celebrated Hindi Diwas with great fervor and enthusiasm across all its campuses. The event featured a variety of academic and cultural activities designed to foster pride, awareness, and creativity among students for the Hindi language.

The celebration commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and garlanding of the Goddess Saraswati's statue by Principal Dr. Anamika Srivastava and Chief Guest Dr. Nalin Ranjan Singh, who is the Head of the Hindi Department at K.K.C. College, Charbagh. Dr. Singh's presence and his inspiring address deeply motivated all attendees.

A key highlight of the event was the impromptu speech competition, where students passionately shared their thoughts on diverse topics. These included environmental awareness, the integration of the Hindi language, child labor, and the role of youth power in India's development. Other popular competitions included poster making and poetry recitation, which saw enthusiastic participation from students across different departments.

In his address, Chairman Shri Ram Singh Yadav emphasized the profound significance of the Hindi language. "Hindi is not just a language; it is the soul of our culture, civilization, and identity," he stated. "We should be proud that Hindi is one of the richest languages in the world. It is the responsibility of our students to adopt Hindi in all aspects of their lives to contribute to nation-building."

The event also honored the top performers in the various competitions. In the poetry recitation category, Swati Singh (MA - Third Semester) secured the first place. Kajal Rawat (D.L.Ed.) and Kumkum Vimal (B.Sc.) took the second and third prizes, respectively.

In the poster-making competition, Prachi Kashyap won the first prize, while Gargi Awasthi and Saloni along with Anuradha were awarded the second and third prizes.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Poonam Yadav, Assistant Professor in the Hindi Department. The winners were felicitated, and all participants were encouraged for their efforts. The entire event was smoothly coordinated by Dr. Rekha Mishra, Assistant Professor of the Hindi Department.

The presence of other distinguished guests, including Engineer Anurag Yadav, Dr. Chitra Tripathi, Mrs. Poonam Srivastava, Mrs. Neetu Rastogi, and Ms. Yamini Tiwari, added to the prestige of the event. The successful organization of Hindi Diwas underscored the college's commitment to preserving and promoting India's cultural heritage among the younger generation. The event served as a reminder that while the world is globalizing, it is crucial to remain rooted in one's native language and culture.
