'Employment and Justice' March Roars Through Prayagraj
AAP MP Sanjay Singh's Padyatra gathers massive support in Prayagraj on day 11, demanding jobs and social justice.
Prayagraj : The 'Rozgar Do, Social Justice Do' Padyatra, led by Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh, garnered unprecedented public support on its eleventh day as it moved through Prayagraj. Starting from Vrindavan Vatika, Chowpai Bagh, the march transformed into a massive movement upon reaching Ganga Degree College, Soraon. Students, youth, women, and the elderly lined the route, greeting Singh with flower garlands and turning the march into a massive demonstration.
During the march, the AAP MP took time to address immediate public grievances. In Soraon, an elderly disabled man, Ramkumar, shared his frustration over a fake electricity bill, while Ram Sukhi Patel complained that his pension had been wrongfully stopped after being declared deceased despite being alive. Singh assured both citizens that their problems would be urgently addressed.
The pervasive issue of joblessness dominated the atmosphere, with students and youth constantly raising 'Rozgar Do' slogans. Addressing the overwhelming crowd, Singh reiterated that the Padyatra, running from Saryu to Sangam, was launched in response to the "alarming levels of unemployment" in Uttar Pradesh, which he termed an "epidemic."
He sharply criticized the state government, citing a "long string of recruitment scams, paper leaks, and examination cancellations" that have ruined the future of the youth. Singh alleged that the government's policy failures only offer deception to the lakhs of students who flock to Prayagraj, once known as the 'Oxford of the East,' for educational and career prospects.
