Youth Surge in Prayagraj as AAP's March Demands Jobs, Justice

Prayagraj : The 'Rozgar Do, Social Nyaya Do' (Give Employment, Give Social Justice) Padyatra led by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) UP in-charge and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, transformed into a massive youth movement as it entered Prayagraj on its twelfth day. The march, which started its 'Saryu to Sangam' journey from Ayodhya, was met with an enthusiastic reception, including garlands and flower showers from students, youth, women, and the elderly as it moved from Fauji Palace, Shivgarh, to the Malak Harhar Bus Stand and beyond.

The roads echoed with deafening slogans urging the government to "Stop the recruitment scam, give employment", reflecting the widespread anger among the youth in the country's prominent competitive examination hub.

Addressing the huge crowds, Sanjay Singh was sharply critical of the state government, stating that the entire recruitment process in Uttar Pradesh is plagued by "chaos and corruption."

He highlighted the constant issues of paper leaks, examination cancellations, and recruitment scams, which he said are devastating the hard work and future of millions of young people, from UPPSC to police and TET exams.

Singh asserted that the government's silence makes it complicit in these scams. He stressed the financial and emotional toll on students whose parents have often taken loans or sold land to support their preparation in Prayagraj.

"Youth seeking employment need jobs, not sticks," Singh declared, accusing the government of ruining their future by failing to provide jobs and security.

Beyond employment, the Padyatra's core demand was for 'Social Justice'. Sanjay Singh argued that the Dalit, Backward, and deprived communities are facing continuous neglect and are being denied their constitutional rights. He positioned the march as a collective fight for the respect, equality, and rightful entitlements of these communities.

The Padyatra wound its way through key areas of Prayagraj, including Malak Chaturi, Shantipuram, Phaphamau, Teliarganj, University area, Anand Bhawan, and Balsan intersection.

The AAP MP appealed to the people of Prayagraj to gather in large numbers at Patthar Church, 11 Civil Lines, on the morning of November 24th to support the final leg of the Padyatra and amplify the demand for employment and social justice.
