Study Hall DOSTI Student Honoured by CM Yogi Adityanath
Astha Rai of DOSTI Study Hall receives a state award from CM Yogi Adityanath, showcasing the power of inclusive education.
Lucknow: In a powerful testament to the success of inclusive education, Astha Rai, a dedicated student of the DOSTI Study Hall School, was recently awarded the Rajya Stareeya Prerana Stotra by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Astha’s recognition is not just a personal victory but a shining example of the transformation possible when a school is genuinely committed to leaving no child behind.
Astha's journey started during the challenging online learning period in Azamgarh. The team at DOSTI Study Hall immediately demonstrated inclusive education in action, adapting their methods with patience and structured support to keep her engaged. Seeing this profound difference, Astha’s mother made the courageous decision to move the family from Azamgarh to Lucknow specifically so Astha could continue her growth under the guidance of Ms. Tarannum N. Khan and her team.
At DOSTI, Astha flourished in an environment where her abilities were prioritized. Special educators and co-curricular mentors collaborated to build tailored routines. Subjects she once avoided became areas of strength, and activities like sports and dance, once intimidating, became her forte. Her potential was recognized and nurtured with adapted materials and unwavering emotional backing. Her recent nomination for the National Youth Leadership Summit 2025 is solid proof of the immense progress she has made.
DOSTI's legacy, established over two decades ago when inclusive options were scarce, is built on a strong culture of vocational training, parent involvement, and daily collaboration between students of all abilities. Astha’s achievement underscores that when schools embody dignity, equality, and genuine inclusion in practice, students don't just progress—they thrive.
