Prayagraj : Urvashi Yadav, a resident of Phaphamau, Prayagraj, and a distinguished alumna of Allahabad University (AU), has achieved a significant academic milestone by securing selection for a PhD program at the prestigious Swansea University in Britain under the esteemed Sures Scholarship.

Urvashi will conduct her research in the Department of Chemical Engineering under the guidance of Professor Anji Munangi Reddy and Professor Shireen Alexander. Her research topic, "Development of Polymer Electrodes for Fluoride Ion Batteries," falls within the cutting-edge field of energy and innovation. This prestigious fellowship provides Urvashi with full funding for four years, with her research scheduled to continue until September 30, 2029.

Urvashi boasts an impressive academic record from Allahabad University, where she demonstrated exceptional merit:

She completed her Graduation in Mathematics in 2022 from the Faculty of Science.

She finished her Masters in the Physics Department in 2024.

Significantly, she was a Gold Medalist in both her graduation and post-graduation studies at AU.

Before her selection, she also gained valuable research experience by working in the Physics Department of IIT Roorkee for a short duration after completing her Masters.
