Chaudhary Naunihal Singh Club Crowns Themselves Champions in Dr. DN Tiwari U-16 Thriller

Prayagraj : In a high-octane final at the Vishnu Bhagwan Public School ground, Chaudhary Naunihal Singh Club emerged victorious, defeating Vishnu Bhagwan Public School (VBPS) by 18 runs to lift the prestigious Dr. DN Tiwari Memorial Under-16 Cricket Tournament trophy.

The First Innings: A Solid Foundation
Winning the toss and opting to bat first, Chaudhary Naunihal Singh Club posted a competitive total of 213/9 in their allotted 30 overs. The innings was anchored by a brilliant 71 from Samarth Pandey, well-supported by Aryan Banerjee’s classy 59 and Farzan Ali’s brisk 35. Despite a disciplined bowling effort from VBPS’s Kartikeya Singh and Arnav Garg—who claimed three wickets each—the total proved to be a daunting target.

The Chase: VBPS Falls Short
Chasing 214, Vishnu Bhagwan Public School fought valiantly but struggled to keep up with the required run rate. Kartikeya Singh led the charge with a gritty 58, supported by Arun Pal (29) and Bhupendra (22), but the team finished at 195/9. A clinical bowling performance by the eventual champions, led by Aryan Banerjee (2/19), Saksham Kesarwani, and Mohammad Ali, ensured the 18-run victory.
