Special Voter List Revision Meeting in Pratapgarh

Pratapgarh:District Magistrate Sanjeev Ranjan chaired a crucial meeting at the Collectorate Auditorium, discussing the special summary revision of electoral rolls based on the eligibility date of January 1, 2025. The meeting, attended by representatives of political parties, highlighted the directives from the Election Commission of India to update voter lists by adding eligible new voters, removing ineligible names, and correcting existing entries for accuracy.

The District Magistrate informed that the draft publication of the voter lists will be on October 29, and claims/objections will be accepted from October 29 to November 28. Special campaigns for collecting claims/objections will be conducted on November 9, 10, 23, and 24, with the final publication scheduled for January 6, 2025. He urged political parties to actively verify the voter lists through their booth-level agents and assist in updating them accurately. The meeting saw participation from key political representatives and administrative officials, including ADM Tribhuwan Vishwakarma.
