Rural Sports League to Uncover Hidden Talents
District Magistrate plans extensive rural sports events to nurture young talents in various athletic disciplines.
Ambedkar Nagar:In a recent meeting chaired by District Magistrate Avinash Singh, a comprehensive rural sports program was outlined. Held at the Collectorate Auditorium, the event aimed to promote hidden talents from rural areas through the Uttar Pradesh Rural Sports Competition. The plan, presented by Chief Development Officer Anand Kumar Shukla, included events across junior, sub-junior, and senior categories for both boys and girls.
The competition will cover eight sports, including athletics, kabaddi, volleyball, wrestling, weightlifting, football, badminton, and judo. Organized at the block and district levels, the program will commence in late October and conclude by November. District Sports Officer, sports associations, and educational institutions will collaborate to ensure smooth execution, with ample promotion through youth and women welfare groups.
