Majestic 24-Foot Hanuman Idol Crafted from 50,000 Inscribed Stones Unveiled in Lucknow

Lucknow: A extraordinary blend of art, devotion, and craftsmanship was unveiled at Fun Republic Mall in Lucknow on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, with the inauguration of a magnificent 24-foot-tall Lord Hanuman idol. Weighing approximately 600 kilograms, the impressive installation is uniquely composed of more than 50,000 individual stones, each meticulously inscribed with the holy name "Ram-Ram."

The grand statue was officially inaugurated by MLA Dr. Neeraj Bora. Management at Fun Republic Mall announced that the structure claims the record for being the largest Hanuman idol installed within any institutional or commercial complex across Asia. Reflecting its unique construction and scale, the landmark installation has been officially recognized and documented in both the Asia Book of Records and the India Book of Records.

The creation process spanned 30 days of intense effort, bringing together 20 to 25 skilled artisans from across various states in India. Sourcing specialized stones nationally, the craftsman spent 10 days solely on precision cutting, shaping, and intricate carving before assembling the final form.

Highlighting the vision behind the initiative, the mall management emphasized that installing this spiritual monument is aimed at reconnecting urban visitors with Indian cultural values and Sanatan heritage. By placing this symbol of devotion, strength, and service alongside retail and leisure spaces, the complex offers shoppers a unique spiritual experience within Lucknow’s fast-evolving urban landscape.
