Verma Club Clinches 6-Wicket Victory in KS Sports Under-14 Cricket Tournament

Prayagraj : Verma Club secured a decisive victory and claimed full points by defeating Railgaon Club by 6 wickets in the ongoing 5th KS Sports Under-14 Cricket Tournament. The match, held this Saturday at the Chak Harihar Van Jhunsi ground, showcased clinical bowling and composed batting from the winning side.

Winning the toss and batting first, Railgaon Club struggled to build momentum against a disciplined bowling attack. The team was bundled out for 91 runs in 22.4 overs. Syed Ali Haider top-scored with 25 runs, while Saksham Agrahari remained unbeaten on 11.

The Verma Club bowlers dominated the innings:

Manglesh: 3 wickets for 18 runs
Ansh Kushwaha: 2 wickets for 13 runs
Shrey Singh: 2 wickets for 16 runs
Saurav Tiwari: 2 wickets for 26 runs

In response, Verma Club chased down the target with ease, reaching 92 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 21.3 overs. The chase was anchored by Shreyansh Shukla, who played a stellar unbeaten knock of 43 runs. He was ably supported by Ansh Kushwaha, who contributed 28 runs to the total.

Despite a spirited effort from Railgaon's Ayushman Verma (2/20) and a wicket each from Siddharth Agrahari and Rehan Wajahat, they couldn't defend the low total.

For his exceptional all-round performance (28 runs and 2 wickets), Ansh Kushwaha was adjudged the Man of the Match. The award was presented by former cricketer Anjum Parvez, who encouraged the young athletes to keep honing their skills for future challenges.
