IFFCO Empowers Farmers with Nano Fertilizer Awareness at Prayagraj Chaupal
IFFCO educates farmers in Prayagraj on benefits of Nano Urea and Nano DAP, promoting sustainable and efficient agriculture practices.

The keynote address was delivered by Sanjay Kudeshia, Senior Executive Director and Unit Head of IFFCO Phulpur. Addressing the large gathering of farmers, he emphasized that nano fertilizers are not only eco-friendly but also offer higher efficiency with significantly smaller quantities. “With just a small dosage, Nano Urea can provide better results than conventional fertilizers,” he said. Adding to the excitement, Kudeshia announced that IFFCO would carry out free drone-based spraying of Nano Urea on paddy fields this season, a move that was warmly welcomed by the attendees.
The session also featured scientific insights from Dr. Harishchandra, Principal Coordinator, who elaborated on how nano fertilizers are quickly absorbed by plants, thereby enhancing the quality and yield of crops. He detailed how the technology helps in reducing wastage and promotes quicker nutrient uptake, leading to healthier and more productive farming.
Swayam Prakash, Public Relations Officer at IFFCO, educated farmers about the long-term negative impacts of traditional granular fertilizers, such as soil fertility degradation, rising input costs, and water pollution. He encouraged farmers to switch to nano-based alternatives that are more sustainable and effective in the long run.
During the event, Village Head Vijay Laxmi Singh urged the community to adopt scientific farming methods, praising IFFCO’s consistent efforts in bringing innovation to grassroots farming. She emphasized that embracing modern practices is crucial for both profitability and environmental responsibility.
Rajesh Singh, another key speaker, shared further insights about IFFCO’s initiatives and encouraged farmers to actively participate in future training sessions. He underscored the organization’s commitment to uplifting rural agriculture through technology-driven solutions.
The Chaupal witnessed a significant turnout, with enthusiastic participation from farmers such as Ram Bahadur Singh, Tribhuwan Nath Bind, Bhai Lal Yadav, Shakuntala Devi, and Shiva Gound. Their keen interest in nano technology-based fertilizers signaled a positive shift in rural farming perspectives.
At the conclusion of the event, many farmers expressed that IFFCO’s initiative marks a revolutionary step in Indian agriculture, bridging the gap between traditional practices and modern innovations.
With such interactive awareness programs, IFFCO is not only spreading technical knowledge but also sowing the seeds of a more resilient, sustainable, and productive future for Indian agriculture.
