MSME Council Hosts Successful Job Fair in Kanpur, Empowers Thousands of Youth
MSME Council of India organized a major job fair in Kanpur, guiding youth toward jobs and entrepreneurship.

The event was inaugurated with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Rakesh Sachan, Cabinet Minister, Government of Uttar Pradesh, and Pradeep Mishra, National Chairman, MSME PCI. They were joined on stage by other dignitaries including MP Ramesh Awasthi, Mayor Pramila Pandey, and Meera Singh Bhadauria, reflecting the high-level support for youth employment and enterprise development.
Throughout the day, the event offered structured sessions that included:
Information sessions on various MSME government schemes
Inspirational success stories of entrepreneurs
On-the-spot distribution of appointment letters to selected candidates
The fair also featured career and business development guidance, including skill-building opportunities, banking and finance consultations, and startup support frameworks.
State Chairman Yashraj Singh Gautam and State Chairperson (Bundelkhand) Mona Shukla welcomed the guests and participants, emphasizing the growing importance of the MSME sector in driving sustainable livelihoods and rural entrepreneurship.
Representatives from various districts, including MSME PCI chairpersons, council members, training organizations, and local youth, made active contributions, elevating the event to new heights. Special emphasis was placed on skilling and re-skilling youth for self-reliance through government-backed entrepreneurship programs and credit linkage awareness.
Speaking at the occasion, Rakesh Sachan noted, “The MSME sector holds the key to India’s employment future. Our efforts must continue to bridge the gap between opportunity and access, especially for youth in Tier-II and Tier-III cities.”
Participants expressed appreciation for the opportunity to engage with officials and industry experts directly. Many attendees received job placement offers while others benefited from guidance on setting up self-employment ventures using existing government initiatives.
The fair concluded with a vote of thanks and the National Anthem, symbolizing unity in purpose and vision for a self-reliant India powered by its youth and entrepreneurs.
