Montfort Inter College Hosts Empowering Seminar on Navigating Adolescence

Lucknow: In an earnest effort to bridge the communication gap between parents and teenagers, the prestigious Montfort Inter College organized a highly impactful seminar titled "Beneath the Surface: The Journey of Adolescence" on July 18, 2026. The event, held in the school auditorium, was specially curated for the parents of students from Classes 9 to 12.

The program commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by a melodious prayer song by the students and a sacred reading from the Holy Bible. Welcoming the gathering, the Reverend Brother Jinu Abraham highlighted the core objective of the seminar—sensitizing parents to the unexpressed emotions and psychological shifts that define the teenage years.

A multimedia presentation then took the audience through the rich history of Montfort Inter College, showcasing its academic and cultural milestones. Elaborating on the central theme, the school's Vice Principal, Mrs. Neena Keron Das, delivered a profound address on looking "beneath the surface" to truly understand adolescent behavior, urges, and emotional struggles.

"Adolescence is a turbulent transition. It is a time when children need understanding ears and emotional anchors more than lecturing voices."

The seminar also celebrated academic excellence by screening a special video dedicated to the high achievers of Classes 10 and 12 who brought laurels to the institution in the board examinations. Following a captivating musical performance by the school choir, lecturer Mr. Abhishek Srivastava briefed the parents on essential school regulations and disciplinary guidelines to ensure a collaborative growth environment.

The successful event concluded with a formal vote of thanks, pulled off seamlessly through the joint efforts of the Principal, Vice Principal, administrators, coordinators, and the entire teaching and non-teaching staff.
