Remembering the Supreme Sacrifice: Devotees Gather for Good Friday Prayers at Billyworld Church

Kanpur : In a poignant display of faith and devotion, the Assembly Billyworld Church in Kalyanpur, Kanpur, observed Good Friday to commemorate the crucifixion and sacrifice of Lord Jesus Christ. The atmosphere was filled with spiritual fervor as hundreds of devotees gathered to participate in the special worship service.

The ceremony began with soul-stirring hymns dedicated to the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. Devotees were seen immersed in prayer, raising their hands in worship and chanting hymns that echoed the message of redemption.

Addressing the congregation, Father E.J. Singh delivered a powerful sermon on the significance of the day. He emphasized that Good Friday is a reminder of the boundless love Jesus had for humanity, choosing to endure the cross for the salvation of mankind.

"Jesus Christ sacrificed His life on the cross for the well-being of others, yet until His final breath, He continued to preach the message of love and forgiveness," Father Singh stated.

He further urged the followers to:

• Walk the path of truth, compassion, and selfless service.
• Repent for past mistakes to seek spiritual renewal.

During the service, Father Singh led a collective prayer for repentance, where devotees sought forgiveness and pledged to follow the righteous path shown by Christ. He noted that true success in life is only possible when one adopts the values of humility and sacrifice.

The prayer meeting saw the presence of several prominent church leaders and community members, including Pastor Madhu Rao, Shailendra Singh, Shekh Bahadur, Pastor Mohit Singh, Lata Singh, Vivek Kanojia, and Anil Singh.
