IFFCO’s Bio-Fertilizers Boost Green Farming on World Environment Day
IFFCO promotes nano and bio-fertilizers on Environment Day, encouraging eco-friendly farming and soil conservation in Prayagraj.

Prayagraj: On the occasion of World Environment Day, IFFCO reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable agriculture and environmental protection through a special plantation and sapling distribution event. The programme was conducted under the Integrated Rural Development Programme (IRDP) by CODART Phulpur at Khanpur Dandi village in Pratappur block and Belhabandh village in Phulpur block, Prayagraj district.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from farmers and local villagers who joined hands in promoting eco-conscious farming practices. CODART Phulpur Principal Dr. D.K. Singh led the campaign and emphasized IFFCO’s vital role in green farming through its latest nano and bio-fertilizer innovations.
Dr. Singh highlighted the significance of nano urea and nano DAP, stating that these advanced fertilizers not only support higher crop yields but also contribute to water and soil conservation. “IFFCO’s bio-fertilizer products are crucial for the future of organic farming in India,” he added. According to Dr. Singh, the organization's eco-friendly initiatives align with national goals for sustainable development and healthier food production.
Arvind Dwivedi from IFFCO MC also addressed the gathering and provided detailed insights into IFFCO’s expanding product range and how these bio-solutions are changing the agricultural landscape. He urged farmers to adopt modern, eco-conscious farming methods that are both profitable and environmentally safe.
The programme was efficiently coordinated by IRDP in-charge Rajesh Kumar Singh, who managed the proceedings and encouraged local farmers to engage in discussions on sustainable practices.
Several community members and agricultural leaders attended the event, including Mukesh Tiwari from CODART, and notable farmers such as Ramji Shukla, Ramsundar Pal, Surendra Kumar, Ram Janak Patel, Ranjit Singh, Raja Babu Dubey, and Arun Kumar Shukla. Their active involvement underscored the growing awareness about the importance of environmentally responsible farming.
As a green gesture, farmers were gifted saplings of papaya, neem, and maulshree trees free of cost. The plantation drive not only celebrated World Environment Day but also symbolized a step toward increasing green cover in rural Uttar Pradesh.
This grassroots initiative by IFFCO and CODART marks a meaningful contribution toward environmental sustainability and echoes the global theme of restoring ecosystems. As the demand for organic and sustainable farming practices rises, events like these demonstrate that real change starts at the village level.
