DM Avinash Singh Prioritizes Panchayati Raj Quality Initiatives

Ambedkar Nagar: A review meeting of the Panchayati Raj Department, chaired by District Magistrate Avinash Singh and attended by Chief Development Officer Anand Kumar Shukla, was held at the Collectorate Auditorium in Ambedkar Nagar. The DM reviewed the expenditure of Finance Commission grants and directed officials to ensure high-quality work in village panchayats. He instructed the District Panchayati Raj Officer (DPRO) to disburse the first installment of funds for eligible beneficiaries under the Individual Household Latrine (IHHL) scheme and upload the list of eligible and ineligible beneficiaries on the district's website.

DM Singh emphasized the need to motivate those beneficiaries who received funds but have yet to start construction. He assigned responsibilities to the Assistant Development Officer (Panchayat), village panchayat secretaries, and block coordinators to ensure timely construction. In cases of non-compliance, he ordered that notices be issued and recovery actions initiated. The meeting was attended by District Development Officer Sunil Kumar Tiwari, District Economics and Statistics Officer Anupam Singh, DPRO Avnish Kumar Srivastava, block development officers, and other department officials.
