Students In Dharamshala Protest NEET Paper Leak Echoing Jantar Mantar Demonstrations Seeking Education Reforms

Dharamshala : Echoing the ongoing mass demonstrations at New Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, students, parents, and youth activists staged a peaceful protest at the district headquarters in Dharamshala. The agitators gathered to express outrage over alleged paper leaks in national competitive examinations, particularly the NEET-UG entrance tests, demanding comprehensive reforms and immediate accountability from the Union government.

 Carrying placards and chanting slogans, the protesters voiced deep concern over repeated examination irregularities that threaten the academic prospects of millions of aspirants across the country.

The demonstrators aligned their demands with the ongoing movement in the national capital, calling for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and a complete overhaul of the National Testing Agency's operational framework.  

Addressing the gathering, local student representatives emphasized that recurring paper leaks have eroded public faith in the national evaluation system. Participants asserted that questioning administrative oversights is a fundamental democratic right, urging authorities to implement transparent examination mechanisms and enforce strict legal action against paper leak syndicates.

 The rally in Dharamshala forms part of a broader wave of student-led mobilization spreading across Himachal Pradesh, with similar solidarity demonstrations reported in Shimla and Solan.

Demonstrators reiterated that their agitation would persist alongside the national campaign until concrete policy guarantees and institutional safeguards are established. The demonstration concluded peacefully as local officials received a memorandum outlining the students' key demands.
