Truecaller Launches Blue Tick Verification for Users
Truecaller introduces blue tick verification, enhancing digital identity and user trust through UPI.
Lucknow: Truecaller has launched its new blue tick verification feature for all premium users in India. This verified badge allows users to verify their identities through the Unified Payments Interface (UPI), ensuring their true names are displayed accurately. This initiative addresses the rising demand for transparent and reliable identity verification among users.
In recent years, the verified badge has become a sought-after feature, with many Truecaller premium users requesting a more straightforward verification process. By leveraging UPI for verification, Truecaller aims to provide a secure and trustworthy means of confirming users' identities.
Rishit Jhunjhunwala, Chief Product Officer and MD of Truecaller in India, emphasized that this new identity verification method enhances user trust while allowing individuals to control their digital presence. He stated that the launch reflects Truecaller’s commitment to delivering top-tier services and ensuring that users' identities are accurate and reliable. Currently, the blue tick feature is available only on Android, with iPhone support coming soon.
