23-02-2024. Ambedkar Nagar. District Magistrate Avinash Singh inspected the tourism development work of Shiv Baba under development block Akbarpur. The situation was reviewed on the spot regarding the works to be done at Shiv Baba religious place by sanctioning Rs 123.87 lakh by the Tourism Department and Rs 200 lakh under Vandan Yojana. And necessary guidelines were given. Under the Bandan Scheme, site inspection of the works to be done by the District Magistrate from the Executive Officer Akbarpur was done.
After this, information was taken about the work done by the concerned executive organization in relation to the funds released by the Tourism Department and on-site inspection was done. It is to be informed that with the aim of promoting tourism in the state, Shiv Baba in Akbarpur development block of Ambedkar Nagar district. An estimate of Rs 124.86 lakh was sent by Uttar Pradesh Project Corporation Limited for the tourism development work of Uttar Pradesh Project Corporation Limited in the financial year 2023- 24. In this regard, administrative and financial approval of Rs 123.87 lakh has been given by the Appraisal Committee by naming the executing agency. First 50 lakh rupees were released as installment.
At the same time, it is also to be informed that due to the innovative efforts of District Magistrate Avinash Singh, work is going on on many projects with the aim of promoting tourism in the district. Due to Ambedkar Nagar district being an integral part of the world famous Ayodhya, there is immense potential for tourism here.
The District Magistrate is continuously sending letters to the government by identifying many water harvesting sources and mythological places including Shravan Dham area, Darvan Lake, Punthar Lake and the proposed works for the development of the district are also being approved by the Honorable Chief Minister.
By promoting tourism, on one hand tourists from India and abroad will come to the district, while on the other hand it will also provide employment opportunities to the residents of the district. In his address, the Honorable Prime Minister has appealed that wherever tourists go, they should spend at least 10% of their total travel expenses on purchasing local goods, which will boost local industries. This will help in achieving 1 trillion dollar economy of the state including the district and 5 trillion dollar economy of the country.
