Block-Level Quiz Encourages Scientific Thinking Among Students
The event promoted scientific curiosity, engaging students through quizzes and hands-on model-making activities.
Basti: Under the National Invention Campaign, a block-level quiz competition was held on Saturday at Block Resource Center, Harraiya, chaired by Block Education Officer Vijay Anand. A total of 150 students from 50 upper primary and composite schools participated, having been selected from school-level quizzes. The competition was conducted in three phases, resulting in five students - Alok Kumar, Utkarsh, Khushi Pal, Anjul Yadav, and Saroj Maurya - being chosen to represent the block at the district level for both model-making and quiz participation.
The event aimed to ignite a scientific mindset among children, providing them with practical exposure to science through quizzes and science kits. All 150 participants were awarded stationery and certificates, while ten students received science kits. The selected five students were honored with science kits and mementos. Block Education Officer Vijay Anand emphasized that these competitions inspire students' interest in science, encouraging teachers to use science kits for effective learning.
