Lucknow :  Bal Nikunj Girls' Academy, Aliganj, echoed with the spirit of nationalism and youthful enthusiasm as it hosted an inter-branch singing and speech competition on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, inside the Shiv Sahay Auditorium.

The event was graced by Shri Vijay Kumar (IPS), Former DGP of Uttar Pradesh, who honored the winners with shields, certificates of appreciation, and consolation prizes for all other participants.

Students from all five branches of Bal Nikunj School and Colleges participated in the competitions, with 10-member teams from both primary and junior sections delivering soul-stirring patriotic performances that paid tribute to the heroes of the Kargil War.

Patriotic Singing Competition:
In the Primary Group, the results were:

  • 1st Prize: Bal Nikunj English School
  • 2nd Prize: Bal Nikunj Vidyalaya, Aliganj
  • 3rd Prize: Bal Nikunj Inter College, Boys’ Wing
  • In the Junior Group, the winning schools were:
  • 1st Prize: Bal Nikunj, Paltan Branch
  • 2nd Prize: Bal Nikunj, Bailyguard Branch
  • 3rd Prize: Bal Nikunj Inter College, Girls’ Wing

Each team sang with powerful emotion, bringing the audience to a wave of patriotic fervor as memories of Kargil’s valor were revived through music.

Speech Competition:
The second half of the program featured a speech contest on the theme "Kargil Vijay", organized in collaboration with the Department of Sanskrit, Uttar Pradesh, and Lok Kala Museum, Lucknow.

Winners of the speech competition were:

1st Prize: Riya Yadav (Bal Nikunj English School, Paltan Branch)

2nd Prize: Hida Fatima (Bal Nikunj Inter College, Girls’ Wing)

3rd Prize: Devansh Gupta (Bal Nikunj Inter College, Boys’ Wing)

The awards were presented by Dr. Krishna Om Singh, In-Charge of the Lok Kala Museum, and Chhaya Yadav, Assistant Curator, who congratulated the winners and encouraged all students to carry forward the values of courage and dedication.

A Gathering of Pride and Purpose
The event was attended by College Managing Director H.N. Jaiswal, principals and in-charges of all participating branches, along with faculty members who ensured smooth coordination and enthusiastic support.

The celebration at Bal Nikunj Girls’ Academy wasn’t just a competition—it was a tribute to India's brave soldiers and a valuable educational experience for students. By blending culture, patriotism, and oratory, the event underscored the importance of instilling national pride and civic responsibility in young learners.
