Anupamaa Reigns Supreme, Outperforms KBC and Bigg Boss in TV Ratings

Mumbai  :In a major television ratings upset, Rajan Shahi’s popular daily soap, Anupamaa, has once again proven its mettle by becoming India's most-watched show of the week. According to the latest BARC India ratings for Week 34, Anupamaa successfully fended off stiff competition from two of the country's biggest reality shows, Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) and Bigg Boss, to secure the top spot.

The show, starring Rupali Ganguly, recorded an impressive 2.4 TRP rating, captivating a massive audience of 3.5 million viewers across the nation. This consistent performance underscores its deep connection with the audience, resonating with viewers through its compelling narrative of a woman's journey of self-discovery and empowerment.

The victory is particularly noteworthy given the formidable competition. The new season of KBC, hosted by the legendary Amitabh Bachchan, and the highly anticipated Bigg Boss 19, known for its high-octane drama and celebrity clashes, were unable to surpass Anupamaa in viewership. While KBC continues to attract its loyal audience with the charisma of "Big B" and its quiz format, and Bigg Boss draws headlines with its controversial contestants, Anupamaa’s stable and relatable storyline has helped it maintain its lead.

"Anupamaa's success comes at a time when several new shows have recently launched, adding fresh competition to the mix. The show's ability to hold a massive viewer base reaffirms its unbeatable status," said an elated Rajan Shahi.

The show's triumph demonstrates that strong, relatable storytelling combined with impactful performances remains the most crucial factor in winning viewers' hearts. As Anupamaa continues to hold its ground week after week, it solidifies its position as a powerhouse on Indian television, proving that emotional depth and social relevance can consistently outperform celebrity-driven reality formats.
