Kanpur : The Rotary Club of Atulya Kanpur recently hosted a prestigious teacher felicitation ceremony under its National Builder Mission, held at United Public School, Civil Lines. The event aimed to honor and appreciate the invaluable contributions of educators from across the city.

The ceremony, meticulously organized by the club’s Literacy Committee, saw a panel of seven judges select and honor teachers for seven distinct awards. These awards were given to exceptional educators who demonstrated remarkable dedication and innovation in their fields. In a gesture of encouragement, all teachers present at the event were also presented with the National Builders Award.

The event was presided over by the club’s President and senior advocate, Yatindra Shukla, who extended a warm welcome to all guests and participants. The chief guest for the occasion was Shri Salil Bishnoi, a Member of the Legislative Assembly, who delivered an inspiring address. His powerful words resonated with the audience, emphasizing the pivotal role of teachers in shaping the nation's future.

Special guests also shared their insights. Shri Indramohan Rohatgi spoke on the crucial synergy between teachers and students, highlighting the importance of mentorship and mutual understanding. Another distinguished guest, Smt. Vinita Mehrotra, Principal of Schilling House, provided practical advice on stress management for educators, a topic of growing importance in the demanding field of teaching.

The program's theme was introduced by the Literacy Chairman, Rotarian Smt. Neeru Tandon, who is also the Vice-Principal of VSSD College. Her speech set the tone for an evening dedicated to celebrating the teaching profession. The club's Secretary, Ritesh Gupta, elaborated on the significance of the event, reinforcing the Rotary Club’s commitment to community service and education. The Assistant Governor of Rotary, Shailendra Singh, also shared his thoughtful remarks.

The ceremony was attended by approximately 40 club members, who contributed to the event's success and high standards. The evening concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the club's Treasurer, Rotarian Vinay Gupta, expressing gratitude to all who made the event a memorable tribute to the city's unsung heroes—its teachers. The event underscored the Rotary Club’s dedication to recognizing and supporting the pillars of society who build the next generation.
