North Central Railway successfully tests indigenous 'Kavach' system at 160 kmph on Dadri-Tundla section using Vande Bharat Express.
Expanding the Testing Scope
Following the success with Vande Bharat, the NCR plans to test the system with conventional coach compositions. Detailed trials are scheduled for February 16, 17, and 18 using WAP-5 and WAP-7 electric locomotives. These trials are being conducted under an independent safety audit supervised by an Italian safety assessment body to ensure global benchmarks.
