Double Century Blitz Powers VBPS to Mammoth Victory; Kids Prayagraj Cruise

Prayagraj : Vishnu Bhagwan Public School (VBPS) 'A' and Kids Prayagraj Club 'A' delivered commanding performances, securing comprehensive victories in the Under-14 Girls and Boys Cricket League in Prayagraj.

At the VBPS ground, the hosts put on a batting masterclass after being asked to bat by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Club. Karthikeya Singh smashed an unbeaten 150 runs off just 100 balls, studded with 24 fours, while Rudra Pratap blazed 107 runs from 59 deliveries, including 20 boundaries. Supported by Akash Shukla's 58, VBPS 'A' piled up a massive 384 for 7 in their 35 overs. Tanishk Ojha was the pick of the bowlers for the opposition, claiming two wickets.

Chasing the daunting target, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Club crumbled rapidly. Opener Shubh Soni top-scored with 35, but the team was bundled out for a mere 71 runs in 21.3 overs. The demolition was led by Avnish Singh, who produced a superb spell of 4 wickets for only 6 runs from 4.3 overs, backed by Priyam Singh's 3/9, sealing a monumental 313-run victory for VBPS 'A'.

In the day's second fixture at the Government Press ground, Kids Prayagraj Club 'A' showcased disciplined bowling to restrict Degree College. The opponents were bowled out for a paltry 78 runs in 26.2 overs, largely due to a brilliant five-wicket haul from Utkarsh Singh (5/25 in 7.2 overs).

Kids Prayagraj then comfortably chased the target in 15.1 overs, reaching 81 for 2. Raghav Dubey's confident knock of 45 runs ensured an effortless 8-wicket win for his team. The victories earned both VBPS and Kids Prayagraj full points in the league.
