Muralitharan met Oman's Economy Minister, addressed the Indian community in Muscat

New Delhi. Minister of State for External Affairs and Parliamentary Affairs V Muraleedharan concluded his official visit to the Sultanate of Oman on Thursday. Further strengthening bilateral ties, Muraleedharan held important talks with Saeed Al Sakri, Economy Minister of Oman.
They collaboratively explored potential avenues of cooperation discussed essential aspects of India-Oman economic relations and underlined the shared commitment to strengthen economic ties between the two countries. During this, the Minister of State also held a meeting with Oman's Labor Minister, Mahd bin Saeed Baowain, and discussed labor relations and skill development for the convenience of Indian workers.
During the official visit from October 18-19, Muraleedharan also held a meeting with Sheikh Khalifa Al-Harathi, Under-Secretary for Political Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman, and discussed bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
Addressing the Indian community in Muscat, he stressed the important role played by the Indian diaspora in Oman, describing them as an essential part of the wider Indian global family. Muralitharan offered prayers at the historic Shiva temple in Muscat and also visited the iconic Sultan Qaboo Grand Mosque.
While addressing the students of Indian School Muscat, he inspired them for a better future. The Minister of State also visited a labor camp in Muscat and interacted with Indian workers.
