(By Sumit goswami)
During the inspection, cleanliness, drain cleaning, and the attendance register of sanitation workers were checked. Two employees were found absent, upon which the Commissioner ordered deduction of one day’s salary. He further directed the Sanitation Inspector to remain present in the ward and personally supervise the cleanliness work to ensure better sanitation arrangements.
Here, the Commissioner reviewed the cleanliness arrangements at Holi Gate, Kotwali Main Road, and Tel Mill Gali, among other places. Three sanitation workers were found absent, and deduction of their day’s wages was ordered. Overwriting was also found in the attendance register, for which the concerned supervisor was issued a notice and warned that strict action would be taken in case of recurrence.
The Commissioner clearly stated that any kind of negligence in cleanliness arrangements will not be tolerated and that sanitation should always be given top priority.
During the inspection, Sanitation Inspectors Rajkumar Lawania and Saurabh Agrawal, along with Abhishek Bajpai, Operations Manager of Nature Green Company, were also present.
