Prayagraj : The last day of Chhath Puja was celebrated with enthusiasm and devotion at IFFCO Ghiyanagar Phulpur. As per traditional customs, the great festival concluded with a large number of devotees offering Arghya to the rising sun.A large number of devotees gathered at the pond built in the township premises since early morning.

The devotees stood in the pond with purity and discipline and offered Arghya to the Sun and prayed for the happiness and prosperity of their families. In this puja dedicated to Chhathi Maiya and Lord Surya, fasting women dressed in traditional costumes offered raw milk, thekua, coconut and various fruits to the Sun God.The significance of offering Arghya to the rising sun (Usha Arghya) in Chhath Puja is that it marks the end of the fast and symbolizes new beginning and success in life. Furthermore, it bestows good health, fame and prosperity.

This fast is associated with the positive energy present in the first rays of the Sun, which fulfills all the wishes. This unique and traditional celebration of Chhath Puja at IFFCO Township, Ghiyanagar united all the devotees and gave the message of mutual harmony and devotion.On this occasion, JGM Arun Kumar, HOD Human Resources Shambhu Shekhar, IFFCO Officers Association President Anurag Tiwari and General Secretary Swayam Prakash, IFFCO Employees Sangh President Pankaj Pandey and General Secretary Vijay Kumar Yadav, C.B. Singh, Kapil Dev, Sunil Kumar Yadav, V.K. Verma, Dharmendra Singh, Ramkant Singh, C.S. Sengar, and Jaishankar Yadav were included.
