Northern Railway arrange special train from diffrent station for Chhath Puja

New Delhi : Northern Railway has made enhanced arrangements at major stations in the Delhi region for passenger convenience on the occasion of Chhath festival, especially for those traveling home to Eastern India.

On October 25, 2025, a total of 351,221 passengers departed from six major stations in the Delhi region—New Delhi, Delhi Junction, Anand Vihar Terminal, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Shakur Basti, and Ghaziabad. This number represents a 7.86% increase compared to the same period last year (5th day of Diwali, November 5, 2024).

Today, 33 special trains are running from major stations in the Delhi area –

9 from New Delhi, 4 from Delhi Junction, 9 from Anand Vihar Terminal, 2 from Hazrat Nizamuddin, 5 from Shakur Basti, 1 from Delhi Sarai Rohilla, 1 from Shamli and 2 from Rohtak.

In addition, 3 passing special trains have also been scheduled.

For the convenience of passengers, 3 additional special trains – New Delhi–Darbhanga, New Delhi–Rajendra Nagar Terminal (Patna) and New Delhi–Saharsa – were run on 25.10.2025.
