IFFCO: Chhath Puja Celebration at Township Ghiyanagar

Prayagraj : A grand Chhath Puja celebration was held with devotion and enthusiasm in a specially constructed artificial pond in the Kaveri Sector of IFFCO Township Phulpur Ghiyanagar.Residents of the township performed traditional rites of offering to the setting sun (evening offering). The festival will conclude with offering to the rising sun tomorrow.

The uniqueness of Chhath is that it is the only festival in which the setting sun is worshipped. This worship symbolizes gratitude to the Sun God, the giver of life, energy, and prosperity. The evening offering of Chhath is considered a symbol of the deep connection between humanity and nature, with fasting women praying for the happiness, health, and prosperity of their families.

The puja site was decorated with lamps, flowers, and rangoli, creating a devotional and enchanting atmosphere. IFFCO Phulpur Unit Head P.K. Singh extended his heartfelt greetings to everyone on the occasion of Chhath and said that such cultural and religious events within the IFFCO family further strengthen our unity, family spirit, and social values.

IFFCO Employees Union President Pankaj Pandey and General Secretary Vijay Kumar Yadav, and IFFCO Officers Association President Anurag Tiwari and General Secretary Swayam Prakash also extended their heartfelt greetings to the entire IFFCO family on the occasion of Chhath, saying that this festival is a living example of our faith and devotion towards nature, family, and society.

IFFCO management and officers and employees from various departments were present in large numbers at the event. Prominent attendees included Arun Kumar (Joint General Manager, Nano), Shambhu Shekhar (Chief, Personnel and Administration), C.B. Singh, Kapil Dev, Sunil Kumar Yadav, V.K. Verma, Dharmendra Singh, Ramkant Singh, C.S. Sengar, and Jaishankar Yadav. The entire event was organized by IFFCO management with excellent attention to lighting, security, cleanliness, and facilities for the devotees.

Members of the IFFCO family participated in the entire event en masse, celebrating this auspicious occasion with joy and devotion. This Chhath Puja celebration added another beautiful chapter to the social and cultural life of IFFCO Township, Phulpur Ghiyanagar.
