Fourth International Vision Zero Conference: Integration of Digitization and Sustainability
The conference emphasized the need to take concrete steps to prevent accidents and improve safety measures globally by adopting a Vision Zero approach. The main objective of the conference is to create a safe and accident-free working environment across the world by adopting a Vision Zero approach, thereby avoiding accidents like the Bhopal tragedy in India and other countries and achieving the goal of zero accidents, zero illness, and overall well-being.
The conference was attended by over 250 delegates from renowned safety experts, policymakers, non-governmental and government organizations, and other leading educational institutions from India and abroad.
In the inaugural session of the conference, Professor Karl Heij Noetel, President, ISSA Construction, Germany, and Dr. Avnish Singh, former Director General, DG Fasli, Ministry of Labor and Employment, Government of India, and International Coordinator, Vision Zero Rating System, India, presented the history of the Vision Zero concept and emphasized that adopting the Vision Zero system through education and public awareness campaigns can motivate people towards safe behavior.
The final session of the conference featured the fourth Vision Zero Rating Presentation Ceremony, where 49 industries committed to safety and sustainability by adopting the Vision Zero system were honored with shields and certificates.
