Luxury Car Seized, Politics Shaken: Range Rover Caught in Mathura Firing Crossfire

Mathura : The high-profile "Siyaram Vatika Firing Case" continues to haunt Mathura’s political circles as police struggle to arrest the primary accused, Councilor Representative Tilakveer. While the suspects remain elusive, the police have shifted their momentum toward seizing high-value assets, including a luxury Range Rover linked to the night of the violence.

The controversy dates back to the night of March 12, during a wedding at Janakpuri Colony’s Siyaram Vatika. What began as a dispute over alcohol escalated into a violent brawl. In the presence of police, Tilakveer allegedly fired multiple rounds from his licensed pistol, injuring a woman identified as Babita from Bharatpur, Rajasthan.

While the police successfully confiscated the weapon at the scene, the accused and his associates managed to flee. Since then, Tilakveer has moved the District Judge's court for bail, with a hearing scheduled for March 27.

The investigation took a cinematic turn with the seizure of a Range Rover used during the incident. While the car adds to the "prestige" of the political camp, its ownership has sparked debate. Ritesh Agarwal, the registered owner, clarified:

"The Range Rover is mine. Tilakveer, being a friend, had delivered the car for me. Since it was late at night, he kept it with him, intending to return it the next morning. Then the incident occurred. I will now seek its release through legal channels."

Despite recommendations to cancel the licenses of Tilakveer’s pistol, revolver, and rifle, administrative action is still pending. Inspector Vinod Babu Mishra stated that the accused's switched-off phones are hindering tracking efforts, though raids are ongoing. For now, while the Range Rover sits silently in the police station, the political weight of the "Councilor Representative" continues to diminish under the shadow of a pending arrest.
