Lord Mahavir’s "Live and Let Live" is the Only Shield Against Global War: Acharya Shrut Sagar

Delhi : To commemorate the 2625th Janm Kalyanak of Lord Mahavir, the Shahdara assembly constituency was immersed in spiritual fervor as a grand Rath Yatra (chariot procession) and a massive religious assembly (Dharma Sabha) were organized at the Jain Temple, Chhota Bazar.

Under the divine grace of Acharya Shrut Sagar Ji Maharaj and the guidance of Kshullika Pooja Bhushan and Bhakti Bhushan Mataji, the festivities reached their peak on March 31. The day began with a magnificent procession that wound through the historic markets of Shahdara, featuring caparisoned horses, elephants, brass bands, and school children carrying tableaux that spread the message of Ahimsa (non-violence).

Addressing the gathering, Acharya Shrut Sagar Ji delivered a powerful message regarding the current global crisis. He stated:

"Lord Mahavir’s principle of 'Live and Let Live' is the only force capable of stopping a potential World War. In an era where tensions between nations like the US, Israel, and Iran are escalating, his teachings of compassion and self-restraint offer the only path to survival for humanity."

The Acharya emphasized that true victory is not over territories, but over one's own anger, greed, and ego.

The Rath Yatra commenced from the Chhota Bazar Jain Temple and traversed through Circular Road, Farsh Bazar, Bara Bazar, and Shalimar Park. Thousands of devotees lined the streets, welcoming the chariot of Lord Mahavir with flower petals and ceremonial aartis.

The event saw the participation of several prominent figures, including:

  • MLA Sanjay Goyal and Former Councilor Nirmal Jain
  • Vipin Jain (BJP Shahdara District Minority Front President)
  • Ramesh Jain (President) and Rakesh Jain (Secretary)
  • Members of the Jain Yuva Manch and Syadwad Youth Club

The celebration concluded at the temple with a sacred Abhishek (ritual bath) of Lord Mahavir, leaving the community inspired by the 24th Tirthankara’s timeless message of truth and non-possession.
