Muthoot Group and Indian Red Cross Organize Life-Saving Blood Donation Camp in Lucknow

Lucknow: A commendable blood donation camp was recently organized at the Lekhraj office of #MuthootGroup in Lucknow, under the joint aegis of the Indian Red Cross Society, Lucknow Chapter, and Muthoot Group, in collaboration with Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital.

The camp was inaugurated by O.P. Pathak, Chairman of the Indian Red Cross Society, who emphasized the importance of regular blood donation. Speaking at the event, he said, “There is no greater donation than blood. By donating blood, we can save someone’s life. It neither weakens the donor’s body nor poses any health risk — in fact, the body replenishes blood within 24 hours, promoting better health.”

The event saw active participation and encouragement from Anil Kumar, Senior Regional Manager at Muthoot Group, who motivated employees to contribute to this noble cause. “Blood donation is the highest form of charity. Each unit of blood can save up to three lives,” he noted while urging staff to come forward and donate.

A total of 26 units of blood were collected during the camp, contributing significantly to the local blood bank’s reserves. The donation drive was carried out under the supervision of certified medical professionals and blood donation officers from the associated hospital, ensuring safety and proper procedure throughout the event.

The event was a clear reflection of effective corporate social responsibility (CSR) in action, where public welfare and health support take center stage. It not only raised awareness about the critical need for voluntary blood donation but also created a platform for corporate employees to directly engage in life-saving efforts.

Key attendees at the event included Chairman O.P. Pathak, Executive Council members Arvind Pathak, Roop Kumar Sharma, Kush Mishra, Ravindra Kumar, Alok Saxena, office assistant Harshit Shukla, and Muthoot Group’s team members Ramesh Babu, Manvendra Tiwari, among others.

The Indian Red Cross Society extended heartfelt thanks to all donors and participants who contributed to the success of the camp, emphasizing that such initiatives are essential for building a compassionate and health-conscious society.
