Kisan fair inaugurated at Kulbhaskar Ashram PG College

Prayagraj : A two-day training cum awareness programme, exhibition and farmers fair was inaugurated at Kulbhaskar Ashram Post Graduate College, Prayagraj. The program was started by lighting the lamp by the chief guest of the inaugural session, Dr. Amit Bhardwaj College Principal Professor Gitanjali Maurya, while welcoming the guests and farmers, said in her address that such events provide a common platform to agriculture and education which opens doors to new possibilities for both students and farmers. He encouraged the participants and said that building a sustainable and prosperous future is possible only through coordination of innovation, technology and research in agriculture. Program coordinator Professor Rajendra Prasad highlighted the objective of the fair and exhibition.

Chief Guest Director Higher Education DrIn his address, Amit Bhardwaj said that in the present times, the use of modern technology in the agriculture sector is extremely necessary, such events not only introduce students to new agricultural innovations but also play an important role in helping farmers take advantage of new technological schemes and resourcesDr. Shantanu Dubey, Director, ICAR (ATARI) motivated the farmers to do farming and earn profit by taking appropriate decisions at the right time.

Senior Vice President of Kayastha Pathshala and former Mayor, Prayagraj Chaudhary Jitendra Nath Singh congratulated the Principal, teachers and staff of the college for organizing this program and extended best wishes for the successful organization of the fair and exhibitionDr. Ravi Prakash technical advisor of the Plant Variety and Farmers' Rights Authority, the main sponsor of the program, gave information about the law to honor farmers and scientists related to the right to conserve indigenous seeds. Dr. Umakant Dwivedi of the same organization gave information about the Plant Varieties and Farmers' Rights Protection Act 2001.

In the inaugural session, General Secretary of Kayastha Pathshala and Senior Advocate Sunil Dutt Kautilya and Senior Vice President of Kulbhaskar Ashram PG College Management Committee Ashok Khare were present as special guests in the inaugural session. Apart from Dr. B.K. Dwivedi, Director of Bio Veda, Director of SUATS, Naini Prayagraj, Krishi Vigyan Kendra KaushambiAnd agricultural scientists from Pratapgarh were present.The program was conducted by Dr. Shraddha Tiwari and Professor SP Vishwakarma expressed gratitude to the guests.

In the first session of the training, BK Dwivedi, Director of Bioved, trained and motivated the farmers and students about lac cultivation. In the second session of the training, Dr. Alok Kumar Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of Botany, CMP Degree College, gave detailed information about mushroom production. Cultural programs were organized to entertain the audience. About 650 people including scientists, trainers, college professors and non-teaching staff and students participated in the fair.
