IFFCO Spearheads Agri-Tech Revolution: Nano-Fertilizers and Women’s Empowerment Take Center Stage
Dr. D.K. Singh highlights IFFCO’s nano-fertilizer research and CORDET’s free soil testing and women’s vocational training in Prayagraj.
Prayagraj : In a significant move to modernize Indian agriculture, the Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) is accelerating the integration of cutting-edge research into daily farming practices. Speaking at a recent Kisan Chaupal organized by the Cooperative Rural Development Trust (CORDET), Principal Dr. D.K. Singh emphasized that the organization’s primary mission is the continuous evolution of agricultural technology to benefit the rural community.
Modern Solutions for Enhanced Yields
Dr. Singh highlighted the shift toward high-efficiency inputs, specifically focusing on the benefits of Nano DAP liquid and Nano Urea Plus. Unlike traditional fertilizers, these modern variants offer targeted nutrient delivery, reducing waste and environmental impact. He urged farmers to adopt:
- Water-soluble fertilizers for better absorption.
- Sagarika (seaweed extract) for crop growth stimulation.
- Bio-decomposers to manage crop residue and enrich soil health.
A Data-Driven Approach to Farming
A key takeaway from the session was the emphasis on Soil Testing. Dr. Singh reminded the gathering that CORDET provides free soil testing services, allowing farmers to apply fertilizers based on scientific data rather than guesswork. This precision farming approach is designed to lower costs while maximizing output.
Empowering Women and Supporting the Community
The event also focused on social upliftment. Dr. Singh encouraged local women to utilize CORDET’s training facilities to diversify their income streams through vocational skills. Highlighting the cooperative spirit, the program concluded with the distribution of blankets to help farmers combat the winter cold.
Presided over by Village Head Subhash Patel and coordinated by IRDP in-charge Rajesh Kumar Singh, the gathering saw participation from numerous local leaders and farmers, signaling a unified step toward a more sustainable and tech-driven agricultural future.
