HDFC Bank supports specially-abled children of Indian Air Force
Lucknow. #TheIndianAirForce inaugurated #UmeedNiketan - an advanced Therapy Center located at Air Force Station Palam, for the children of Indian Air Force personnel with special needs.
Mrs. Neeta Chaudhari, President of Air Force Families Welfare Association (AFFWA) inaugurated Umeed Niketan in the presence of Mr. Arun Mediratta, Branch Banking Head, North – HDFC Bank, Mr. Harmanpreet Singh Khanna, Senior Vice President and Head - Central Government & Strategic Affairs, HDFC Bank and other esteemed dignitaries.
This is a key initiative towards ongoing efforts of Indian Air Force (IAF) to provide specialized care and a learning environment for the children of its personnel.
HDFC Bank’s support through its CSR program, Parivartan has been instrumental in creating a state-of-the-art facility that will provide tailored therapy and recreational activities designed to help these children develop essential life skills. The Bank’s CSR initiatives under Parivartan reflect its commitment to holistic development.
Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Arun Mediratta said, “Our contribution to Umeed Niketan is a testament to the power of collaboration between private institutions and the defence community. It is aimed at creating a lasting impact on the lives of specially-abled children. I am confident that it will be helpful to the lives of children in need, with a nurturing environment where they can develop life skills best suited to their needs.”
